Upping the ante

May 31, 2011 Featured No Comments

There’s a new AMG model in town, and it’s certainly catching everyone’s eyes as it starts rolling out. The newly redesigned, second generation CLS-Class lives up to the AMG designation. With a 5.5-liter version of the model’s 4.6-liter biturbo V8, this AMG is a force to be reckoned with.

In the past, there’s been a divide between the handling capabilities of the AMG and its hugely-powerful engine. However, the new CLS63 AMG has narrowed that divide. The steering and handling are spot-on, and they help make the high performance car a joy to drive.

The model has both a comfort and spot mode. In comfort mode, the engine shuts down when the vehicle is stopped and the brake pedal is depressed. This eco-friendly measure isn’t implemented in the sport mode. This AMG really sets the bar high for handling and response. Even on narrow, winding roads, this AMG navigates like a small sports car.

For those cruising around in a used Mercedes, Bergen County drivers are undoubtedly eyeing this new CLS-Class with great interest. In Nyack, used Mercedes drivers are also going crazy over this impressive update to an already-impressive vehicle.

Although it might not be the cheapest Mercedes, the CLS63 AMG is certainly one of the best, especially if you’re really looking to hit the gas.
